Miami. Home to rap, South Beach, techno, and absolutely no rock radio. So what’s a rock music lover to do if they want to see a good live show without breaking the bank? Tap into the local music scene! And before you say, like most people, that there isn’t one, I have this to say to you: you’re just looking in the wrong places. Good live (and local) music can be found for either a small cover charge or for free around a lot of bars and clubs in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area. This blog will show you where to find them and other inside tidbits.

About Hali Neal

Hali Neal was a student at Valencia College studying digital media technology/mobile journalism. She served as editor-in-chief of the Valencia community at Odyssey, a social sharing website where members can write about any topic they choose. She got her start in journalism by writing about/taking photos of local/national bands in her hometown of Miami. Music journalism, social media, and writing fiction are her specialties but she loves the act of writing itself so she's open to writing in different areas as well. She is a graduate of Florida International University but didn't find her career track until two years after she graduated.
